Teaching
of Multiple Languages One aspect of the "Interlingual" nature of the curriculum is the teaching of several languages in addition to English, at the earliest age. At Voyager, at least three languages are taught: Hawaiian, an Asian language (probably Mandarin or Japanese), and a European language (probably Spanish, French, Italian or German). All key concepts and principles will be referenced in Hawaiian and at least five languages of great traditional civilizations worldwide: Egyptian, Sanskrit, Hebrew, Greek and Chinese. Also, fundamentals such as counting and greetings will be taught to all students in any languages that are the primary home language of any students of Voyager; if possible, the students and family members will teach them.
