Volunteers
of All Ages Voyager
is a community of learners. Volunteer support by
individuals or through organizations is both vital and
welcomed. Volunteers may participate in the educational
program, help with general supervision, or assist in
support areas. Voyager’s
diverse program offers many opportunities for volunteer
teachers, including but not limited to tutoring, before
and after school enrichment programs, guest speaker
program, teaching a language, teaching an art unit,
teaching keyboard or ukulele, serving as a resource for
Hawaiian studies, and many more. The
safety and well-being of all students is of utmost
importance at Voyager. Volunteers can provide valuable
assistance by assuring that students in transition
between the building and playground or between different
locations in the building do so in a safe and secure
manner. Large group activities such as field trips
combined classes also will benefit from the help of a
concerned adult.
